History

In 1993 Mr. John L Coates purchased the former Fahringer Lumber location in Berwick, PA. At the time he had owned and operated a hardware store in Berwick, PA. and a small lumberyard in Sweet Valley, PA. Both the hardware store and the small lumberyard have been sold to focus on growing the lumberyard in Berwick.

In September of 2008, we took over the operations of a truss manufacturing plant located in our facility and in 2010, took on a Kitchen and Bath department. We continue to grow to this day with an excellent staff with over 150 years of combined experience in the building trade. We are a very quality and service oriented organization.
